Job Summary

Work Shift

1 - First Shift

The Legal Assistant provides support to the Product Safety and Legal Department staff by creating and maintaining digital files and databases, corporate records, project tracking, litigation, processing mail and invoices, coordinating travel arrangements and other general support. This position performs a variety of departmental tasks, including confidential matters.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Exhibit the Vermeer characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused and stewardship while modeling the associated behaviors.

2. Provide support as required by conducting various functions. This may include, but not limited to: answering, transferring and/or documenting various inquiries, including emails and telephone calls; processing invoices; meeting scheduling; coordinate travel arrangements; project tracking; scanning files for permanent storage; corporate instruction publication; etc.

3. Maintain various digital files and databases relating to corporate records, litigation, product compliance and general department files.

Education and/or Experience

- Associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years related job experience and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills and Abilities

- Knowledge in the areas of Law terminology and concepts.

- Ability to effectively manage time and resources.

- Demonstrate attention to detail and a high sense of accuracy; ability to create accurate, professional and error-free documents in a timely manner.

- Demonstration of good oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and provide informative, courteous and professional assistance to a variety of customers (attorneys, dealers, retail customers, co-workers and external individuals).

- Demonstration of analytical and organizational skills to prioritize responsibilities while supporting the enterprise through interactions with numerous team members, while meeting deadlines.

- Displays focus for prompt customer satisfaction and demonstrates excellent customer service skills.

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in all aspects.

- Ability to maintain positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness with customers and peers.

Travel

Up to 5% domestic and/or international travel by car or plane may be required.

Work Location

HYBRID: Some of a team member’s day-to-day work may be best done at a location other than a Vermeer campus. Discuss specific arrangements with your manager.
